At EnterpriseChai, we’ve always been driven by the mission to make Customer Success Managers (CSMs) experts in their domain—right in the flow of their work. We started by building call guidance and note-taking functionality to enhance real-time decision-making.
But we quickly realized something bigger: every customer-facing team member—whether in sales, support, or success—wants to be seen as an expert by their customers. At the very least, they should have strong product knowledge to confidently sell or support their customers. That’s why we built Ask Me Anything—an AI assistant designed to provide instant, contextual answers from internal documentation and knowledge bases.
From Internal Training to Customer-Facing AI
What started as an internal knowledge tool quickly evolved. Our customers saw how well our AI assistant provided highly accurate, near-zero-hallucination responses due to the deep context integration we designed. The natural next step? Deploying it externally to assist customers as well.
We identified two key use cases that shaped our vision:
- Small & Medium Businesses (SMBs): Many SMBs lack a dedicated support team and need an AI-driven assistant on their website. This AI bot helps educate visitors, explain their products and services, and build a community over time.
- Series A, B & C Startups: Growing startups often don’t have fully built-out customer success or support teams yet. Our AI assistant allows them to deflect common questions like:
- Are we GDPR compliant?
- How long does deployment take?
Rather than keeping this information proprietary, many businesses now see transparency as a competitive advantage. By automating these interactions, startups can scale without compromising customer experience.
Next-Generation AI Assistance: Guiding Better Questions
We’re taking it a step further with what we call "Second and Third Line of Questioning." Instead of just providing direct answers, our AI suggests follow-up questions that guide users to better understand products and services—deepening engagement and education.
What’s Next on Our Roadmap?
We’re actively solving some exciting challenges, including:
- Automating Initial Data Setup: Should we create pre-built datasets for customers, reducing onboarding effort?
- Expanding Trusted Knowledge Sources: Should AI pull information from trusted third-party websites to enhance knowledge bases?
- Advanced Data Management: We’re working on data updates, tagging, and purging to ensure our AI stays accurate and relevant.
